Description
The KOLLGUT CHROM (Chromic gut) is a collagen absorbable obtained from bovine animals and the serosa of the cows. Both are intestinal membrane. These are washed and sliced lengthwise into strips of variable width, classified according to the desired diameter, twisted, bathed in chromic salt*, dried and polished selected by diameter.
*Chromic salt prolongs the time of absorption of the stitch in the body while the tissue heals.

Type of final presentation
The envelopes containing the sutures are packaged in a duly identified and protected with a cardboard box laminating plastic thermocontractable. The quantity can be: 12, 24 or 36 envelopes in each box.

Sterilization method
KOLLGUT CHROM, chromic catgut sutures are sterilized through a process of (Co-60) gamma irradiation.
Time of validity
KOLLGUT CHROM, chromic catgut suture have an expiry date of 05 years from manufacture.
