The GILZA (Polydioxanone-PDO) is a synthetic absorbable monofilament surgical suture material prepared from polyester poly (dioxanone).

• USP3/0 (EP Metric 2.0) and larger size
• Average 75% of the original tensile strength at 2 weeks.
• Average 70% of the original tensile strength at 4 weeks.
• Average 50% of the original tensile strength at 6 weeks.

• USP4/0 (EP Metric 1.5) and smaller size
• Average 60% of the original tensile strength at 2 weeks.
• Average 50% of the original tensile strength at 4 weeks.
• Average 50% of the original tensile strength at 6 weeks.

• Predictable absorption (loss of mass) in 180 to 220 days.

Easy passage through tissue

GILZA sutures are available in dyed with D&C violet #2 and undyed.

USP 7/0 to 2 / Metric 0.5 to 5

From 150, 120, 100, 90, 80, 75, 70, 60, 50 and 45 cm, with one or two or without needle, from one thread to 10 threads above.

The envelopes containing the sutures are packaged in a duly identified and protected with a cardboard box laminating plastic thermocontractable. The quantity can be: 12, 24 or 36 envelopes in each box.

The GILZA suture is identified by the Grey color (Warm Grey 3C) in the label pack.
